Sun Kool never got to fix our drain line problem. Our AC was heavily condensating and triggering the sensors due to the panhandle being full of water and they gave different false diagnostics. First tech came and told us a part was bad and had to be changed to later say that the piece is not needed because that was not the problem. Another tech told us to let the AC run in Fan mode as the pads inside the air handler were very wet. Sun Kool said to do maintenance to the AC. Maintenance Tech came and said everything was "fine"... the problem continued in a weekly basis... Here is where I feel their maintenance plans are a waste of money. Turns out, for some reason the main drain line has a curse in it where somehow it isn't clogged but at the same time it will clog weekly... Well, Sun Kool never diagnosed this despite having several calls and they coming to service us frequently with different diagnosis on each visit. We got sick of this and we had another guy from another company do a brand new drain line and the problem got fixed instantly... That guy did diagnose the clogged line and since he believes it is a problem internally, he ran the new line as an alternative, which fixed the problem. Now the AC does not trigger the sensors nor the garage gets wet at all. Somehow, Sun Kool could not fix this but they kept saying to do maintenance blah blah stuff, you know, they like to sell you those plans... So no, I would not recommend them to fix an issue if you suspect it is the drain line. They will do "maintenance" and "tweak" the AC fan, maybe add a bit of gas to the heat pump, and tell you everything is fine.

Last week I had my my mini-split in my office go out. The dispatcher would have had someone out the next day but I was going out of town so they set up the call for today, which was my choice. My experience was great. The two guys that arrived were dressed very professionally and were super nice. They were personable and explained my issue. I am not a big review person, however whenever I feel like someone deserves a review I try to make an effort to give feedback especially positive feedback because most of the time you only hear negative feedback. Anyways great job Sun Kool.......Joe was one of the service techs and I can't remember the other techs name but he was from California.

Called Sun Kool July 8 after my AC failed The woman who answered was dismissive and short Scheduled a same-day service window from 5 to 9 PM Tech arrived at exactly 9 no greeting just stretched loudly in my yard then passed gas Issue was first diagnosed as a bad indoor coil then changed to a line set replacement after testing Line set price quoted verbally as 800 to 900 but was emailed as 1500 Required full payment up front before starting work even though Ive consistently shown im good for it. I have a warranty and am part of the rewards program which does nothing. And on top of that they demanded payment before work would be Scheduled. On July 18 so over a week without AC two workers arrived Tony only gave his name when asked The other did not introduce himself Tony left within the first hour leaving the other tech for the rest of the day He spent about two hours on personal phone calls talking about quitting SunKool how terrible they are, back pain his refusal to take painkillers and other unrelated matters All recorded clearly on 4K video and clear audio. No walkthrough was provided No explanation or proof shown to justify the line set replacement No before and after photos Just asked for the balance and left
Installation was poorly done Line set was routed crooked and far from the air handler blocking access to a storage closet Drain line was shortened and now blocks access to the filter housing and smart sensor Dry filter was removed and not replaced either inside or outside Thermal insulation in the attic was cut and left exposed which will lead to condensation wood rot and mold Copper line work was bent taped sloppily and left resting in pooled condensation outside Line set cover was not sealed or caulked Trash wire bits insulation pieces and even a knife were left behind in the attic
I reported the issues and was told a manager would come for a follow-up Instead a man arrived 2.5 hours early without notice Did not introduce himself until asked twice First pointed at his shirt and said I’m with Sun Kool like i was special needs When pressed gave a brief eyerolled limp handshake His only comment while inspecting the unit was Well your AC’s working right improperly installed the cover and left no seal on it. And no answers for their terrible work.
Due to lack of confidence in their work I hired Integrity Air Solutions to inspect Austin arrived on time introduced himself and performed a full evaluation He confirmed the following
Line set not installed to code
Not properly aligned with the air handler blocking the entire closet.
Drain line blocked filter access
Dry filter should never have been removed
Thermal insulation exposed and poorly cut
Exposed copper already causing condensation
Freon was overpriced I was charged 95 their rate is 84
Trash and tools were left behind
Line set cover not sealed or caulked properly
Installation would not pass home inspection wires not uniform with line in attic just hanging down low.
told Austin from I.A.S everthing sunkool did and his jaw hit the floor couldn't fathom the thought that a company would be so sinister. Couldn't believe this was what Sunkool called professional work. His assessment was clear and he said If he submitted this job his company would have required a complete redo
I want the job corrected by a completely different crew, I expect a properly aligned line set a reinstalled dry filter outside if not inside drain line placement corrected to allow full access copper and insulation redone to code and everything sealed to standard. Sun Kool has had a long-standing contract with my community but after repeated problems many residents have moved on This experience is why If this work is not corrected I will seek legal action I have 4k video and audio of the installation technician complaints condition of the install and debris, pics of all violations and a report from a licensed competing HVAC provider. If you have not hired Sun Kool yet consider this a caution Their work lacks quality their process lacks transparency and their staff lacks integrity.

I have to share our absolutely horrific experience with Sun Kool Air Conditioning, Inc. of Ocala.
A scheduled routine maintenance visit on a working system resulted in it failing two days later. Trying to rectify the matter with the company has become impossible. We have spent five days being told that someone is coming out to fix it, along with repeated promises that “a manager is going to call you,” yet nothing has happened.
As a result, we will be moving our rental properties and primary residence to another company.

SUNKOOL
I am a retired U.S. Marine and I have been to some pretty hot, humid environments. Central Florida in the summertime ranks right up there in the top 3 to 5.
My discharge line backed up recently and before I realized what was happening my hardwood floor was buckling from water damage.
I called SunKool and spoke to Beverly. Beverly is the cog, that turns the gizmo, that makes the widget work, that sets into motion the timely, efficient, effective, and professional service that I received.
The two technicians that responded, whose names I regret to have forgotten, arrived within the hour and immediately identified the problem, began remedial action to correct the malfunction, and return the cool air of comfort to our little “any town USA” home.
Thank you, SunKool, Beverly and my techs, because Central Florida in the summertime, let’s face it, is Dante‘s Inferno..!
