Seams that were repaired and going to “settle down” are showing throughout the home. I’ve used Carpet one five times in three states and this is the only one we have had an issue with. I am attaching pictures of the seams after less than two months.
Update:
I have now filed a dispute with Synchrony over the failure of Carpet One Ocala to compensate us for our loss. Gary, the owner, offered a solution… on the next project, he’ll give me a discount greater than what my loss is currently. So, he agrees that I have a substantial loss in this process but he’d rather not take care of it. He wants me to try again and hope for a better outcome with his organization. I cannot do that. It’s just not a good business decision. I’ve also contacted Carpet One corporate offices and reduced his review to two stars. I feel that giving him three originally was very cooperative but cooperation doesn’t initiate a solution. We will see if I am contacted to remedy the situation. I just don’t feel that I should lose hard earned PTO time for their poor performance.
We had carpet installed in our home recently. It eventually worked out but it cost me a lot of time off of work to
A. Stay an extra day in town for the first installer to attempt to complete the project.
B. Come back down for an inspection by a Carpet One representative.
C. Return for the installation corrections, which took 8 ish hours.
D. I requested some compensation for my time, which was substantial, and in no way any fault but the installation management and personnel.
We originally reviewed, accurately, our dissatisfaction with the process and the 15 days our project went over the original installation date. Then modified it. And requested compensation for the time and travel. I since have not heard from Carpet One Ocala. So, I called the corporate headquarters and informed them of my concerns. And informed the finance company I used.
The project looks good and the second crew were good. But, the reality is …. It cost me a substantial amount of time and money to continue to return to the project when I lived in another city And they knew this. What they will say is in the fine print of the contract. It says they’re not responsible for any ancillary fees that are due, but is 100% due to them having an installer that was unable to complete the project in a timely or professional manner, and there were many issues that had to be re-corrected by the second crew. 15 days later.

We had Carpet One do the flooring in our last home (White Marble Look LVP) and then with our recent home, they did all of our flooring, cabinets and tops. Everything came out beautiful. Their sales team was patient with us looking over everything (many times). The pricing was affordable and reasonable. The materials have been durable and amazing with our busy farm home between our boys and animals! So happy with it all.

Purchased vinyl flooring from their former location in The Villages. It was installed incorrectly and have been fighting with the company to resolve ever since. My floor is a tripping hazard in 3 places and has to have tape to hold it door in the bathroom threshold. Two of their own Customer Service reps said it was installed incorrectly. In addition, an independent flooring inspector has determined it was installed incorrectly and the company still refuses to remedy. I would highly recommend going somewhere else for your flooring needs.

Fantastic finished product, We love our carpet. We had a team of two men, Eddie and Robert, I recommend asking for them by name. The quality of their workmanship was seen in their finished product. My carpet looks great. I am very happy and satisfied with my flooring and with Carpet One. Again, I highly recommend asking for Eddie and Robert by name, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Carpet One for your commitment to excellence.

I hired Carpet One Ocala to install a luxury vinyl plank floor. Within six months the floor failed. The manufacturer sent an inspector, who concluded the issue was due to installation. Despite that finding, Carpet One was able to get the manufacturer to cover a replacement. Unfortunately, the second installation also failed within months, and again the inspectors—both the manufacturer’s and the independent inspector I paid for—found the same thing: no expansion gaps and installation not consistent with manufacturer guidelines.
Every inspector who came out told us the same two causes:
(1) improper subfloor preparation and
(2) improper installation.
None of the inspectors found problems with our maintenance. The only note was the use of rolling chairs. Carpet One later claimed they had instructed us to use chair mats, but we have an email from them stating that with the correct caster wheels (which we bought and installed), chair mats were not required.
When the second floor started failing, the owner told us that “installers always get blamed,” even though every written report we have—multiple inspectors, including one we hired ourselves—states that expansion gaps were not installed per Karndean’s specifications. One inspector even told us he contacted Karndean directly, and they confirmed that our cleaning and maintenance methods would not cause the type of damage occurring.
At this point, calls have gone unanswered, we have not been provided the installation insurance information we requested, and we were essentially told to sue if we wanted the issue resolved. The cost of litigation would rival the cost of the floor, so it’s simply not practical.
What disappoints me most is that the “Carpet One Love Your Floor Guarantee” was not honored in our case, despite multiple independent findings showing installation errors.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business.
